I am a multimedia artist with a focus in photography and sculpture. I come from a family of creative people, and began my explorations in art at a young age, as art supplies were easily available at home and everyone around me was an artist and encouraged creative thought. I was a serious student of cello from the age of 5, and to this day continue to practice the solo suites of J.S. Bach. In the course of my development as a visual artist, I experimented with various media including drawing, painting, ceramics, and fibers, before discovering while studying in Italy that sculpture and photography were the areas that excited me most. An important aspect of my work is the way that it seeks to integrate multiple mediums into a single presentation, so I sometimes think of myself as an installation artist since many of my pieces are meant to be seen together.
